In January 2018, we proudly completed the relocation of Premier Bodies, our esteemed manufacturing facility, to our new space in Brockmoor. This move marks a significant milestone for Ridgeway, demonstrating our commitment to improving efficiency and providing top-quality products to our customers.

The History of Premier Bodies and Ridgeway

Premier Bodies has been a trusted name in the industry, known for producing high-quality tipping skips and forklift attachments. Ridgeway acquired Premier Bodies in 2013, recognising the potential for synergy between our two companies. For several years, we operated separately, but in 2017, we saw an opportunity to enhance our operations.

Why We Decided to Relocate

In 2017, Ridgeway conducted a strategic review of our operations. We carefully examined our processes, facilities, and future growth plans. It became clear that relocating Premier Bodies to the same site as Ridgeway would offer several key advantages:

  1. Improved Coordination: Having both facilities on the same site would enhance communication and coordination between our teams. This would lead to faster decision-making and more streamlined operations.
  2. Increased Efficiency: By consolidating our manufacturing operations, we could reduce overhead costs and improve production efficiency. This means better use of resources and more competitive pricing for our customers.

The Relocation Process

  2. Moving the Equipment: In December 2017, we began the physical move. This involved transporting all plant and equipment from the old Premier Bodies site to Brockmoor. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure everything was relocated safely and efficiently.
  3. Minimising Downtime: One of our top priorities was minimising disruption to our production schedule. We completed the move in a timely manner, ensuring that we were back in full production by January 2018. This meant it was business as usual for our customers, with no delays or interruptions.
