Where light waste is being moved from indoors to outdoors, folding steel lids can be fitted to prevent waste blowing away in transit. Lids may also be relevant where waste is hazardous or needs to be kept dry.
Typically lids are 2 piece steel hinged as shown in the picture. Retaining chains are fitted to hold the lids open during filling / emptying.
